Travel Diary
St Albans, that`s where I`ll be going on my next blog trip. I have to be honest with you, I hadn`t heard from this place until I met Andy (@501Places) in Valencia last June on another blog trip called BlogtripF1. So, I`ll enlighten you ‘Where is St Albans located?’. It`s a city in southern Hertfordshire, England, around 22 miles (35 km) north of central London.
I`ve been invited to explore the St Albans region together with some of my favorite travel bloggers: Andy (@501Places), Melvin (@traveldudes), Keith (@velvetescape), Abi (@insidetravellab) and Simon (@1step2theleft).
I`m really excited about this trip as St Albans looks like a place with a lot of history and we`ll also be doing a lot of activities! Andy organized a great itinerary with visits to some local gems.
And the timing couldn`t be more perfect, as we`ll be attending Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night. This is an annual celebration held to mark the failure of the Gunpowder Plot that attempted to destroy the Houses of Parliament in London. There will be of course a bonfire and fireworks. The St Albans Annual Fireworks display apparently is one of the largest and best in the south. I can`t wait to experience all of this!
As for the rest of the trip, I don`t want to spill the beans… and keep the suspense up for a bit 😉 I suggest you follow #blogstalbans starting Saturday! And check for upcoming posts of course.
