A few things I think you must try, because they made a big impression on me. Some of them can even be called once in a lifetime experiences, so ENJOY!!! And feel free to add YOUR own most memorable experience below.
1. Helicopter Flight, Grand Canyon
This is something you have to do while visiting the Grand Canyon. It’s such an amazing experience. I tried to capture it on video, obviously that doesn’t represent how it feels when you’re up there. But to give you an impression, you can check out my Helicopter Flight over the Grand Canyon.
2. Catamaran in Caribbean
This is a great way to see the Caribbean. I went on a catamaran in the Dominican Republic and St. Lucia. I liked the one to Saona (Dominican Republic) the best, because I had a lovely time. The Dominican people are so friendly and they know how to have a good time. Sun, rum, merengue and crystal clear water around you, what more do you need? (check out my Dominican Republic )
3. Jet Boating in Queenstown
This was a thrilling experience! Not only can you see stunning views of the Remarkables mountain range, but the excitement begins in the Shotover River, where the driver navigates the shallow, braided channels of this river. At speeds of up to 85 kilometres per hour, in water often less than 10cm deep – a real adventure! (Read the guest post I wrote about it: my adventure in NZ)
4. Parachuting (you can do this in any country!)
What can I say, a once in a lifetime experience! Trust me, when you jump out of the plane, you’ll scream! Not that anyone can hear you 🙂 The views you have from above, the feeling of flying and the adrenaline going through you, FANTASTIC!
5. Taking a stroll through Central Park, New York
Okay, I know this is something totally different than all the activities I talked about in this Top 5. But walking through Central Park and experiencing the peace and quiet in this busy (and sometimes chaotic city) is unique! Realizing, when you’re walking through the park, that you are surrounded by lots of people hurrying to work, busy streets, … and still feeling so peaceful and relaxed, is just something you must try!
What’s YOUR most memorable experience?
Everybody has one of those moments they will never forget…and think ‘WOW, this was amazing’! I know you’re dying to tell us. Go on 🙂
Getting Lost in the Sahara Desert
One of my family’s most memorable experiences was on a journey through Southern Morocco. My husband and I and our two daughters, ages 6 and 10 at the time,…
