As far as Europe goes, I visited many capitals since my high school. London, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Rome, Vienna,… I have seen all of them.
But don’t forget the cities next to the capitals, like Salzburg, Munich, Nice, Barcelona,… Such lovely places to travel. In the summer or when there are festivals, or in spring, when the temperatures are comfortable.
BELGIUM
Eventhough Belgium is just a small country within Europe, I’m proud to say my country (yes, this is where I live!) has a lot of history, culture and nice food. Who hasn’t heard of our famous beers or delicious chocolates?

FRANCE
France is a country of extremes. It has a lot of contrasts, look at Paris, the busy capital of the country, rich in culture and art. But on the other hand, if you go more south wards, you can wander off in nature, without seeing a single soul.
Enjoy the beauty of this country, relax, and have a taste of France’s world famous ‘Haute Cuisine’! And let’s not forget the wines the French are known for.
Paris
Paris is probably one of the most famous cities of Europe and can be described in many ways! City of lights, city ‘D’Amour’ or ‘Love’, all names for this fabulous city. I’ve been there already a few times, by train from Brussels, it’s only 1.5 hour. There is so much sightseeing to do in Paris. Most important are the Eiffel tower, the boat trips on the Seine, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur … and I can think of a few more! You can see a lot in a few days because of the facilities there are: boat trips, bus tours or on foot like I usually do. You can ask my American friends how they liked Paris on foot!
Poitou-Charentes
Only a 3 hour train ride from Paris you can find the lovely La Rochelle and the “Green Venice” of France.
ITALY
It’s been a while since I’ve traveled to Italy, but it was one of my most memorable vacations in Europe! This country has a rich culture, beautiful scenery, lots of history… So many magical places!
The people are so passionate, the true Italians with their hands! Who invented ‘la dolce far niente’ and ‘la dolce vita’. And let’s not forgot their famous food, from dishes made with the best olive oil, all kinds of delicious pasta’s to heavenly pizzas.
Capri/Sorrento
Stay in Sorrento and take a ferry to make a day trip to Capri. See this beautiful island with a boat tour and judge for yourself why a lot of the rich and famous love this island. Or make a scenic drive along the Amalfi coast.

Portugal has a rich history and fascinating scenery! It’s located in West-Europe, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Go see the beautiful nature, fine monuments, … It will surely leave a deep impression on you.
Lisbon
Visit Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. SPAIN
Spain is a very diverse country within Europe, not only has it cities that offer lots of history, monuments, culture,… such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville. But it also has beautiful scenery.
Barcelona
Barcelona is one of the most diverse city trips you can make, because of it’s location. You are right near the sea, if you want to enjoy sun and beach. But at the same time it’s a beautiful city with lots of culture and history. Places to visit in Barcelona are the famous works of Gaudi: Parc Guëll, La Sagrada Familia. Madrid

Valencia
Visit the amazing City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia where you can admire the work of Santiago Calatrava, and enjoy the yummy Spanish food. If you want to enjoy the beach, you can travel to the nearby Benidorm or stay for a relaxing stay at the Sha Wellness. Or maybe you like a bit more adventure and speed, then visit Valencia when they host the Formula 1.
