I find it fascinating how the theme of FriFotos (for those of you who don`t know what it is, check out this page) always indulges me in memories and gives me a chance to reflect on my travels. Last week the theme was “Red” which inspired me for this post: the Red Centre of Australia. This week the theme is “Parks”. Many of you might think of National Parks, as I did at first, but let`s think beyond: green in the city, botanical gardens,…
National Parks
Yosemite National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park
Zion National Park
For more info on these parks, read my story when I was traveling around in the West USA.
Also check out my helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon or the time I drove through Acadia National Park and I was in full awe of the fall foliage!
The park I visited most recently was one in Australia: Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park.
Kata Tjuta
And now on to the not so obvious parks…
City Parks
Central Park
Find out what to do in Central Park!
Don`t forget to check out another one of my favorite city parks: Retiro Park in Madrid.
Botanical Gardens
St Clotilde at the Costa Brava, Spain
Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney
Less famous parks
National Park of Los Haitises at the Dominican Republic.
Verulamium Park at St Albans, UK.
And then I haven`t even talked about Theme Parks, Water Parks, … 😉
