Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia

By Isabelle 1 Comment

Cape Leeuwin

When visiting Western Australia, you can drive up to the north, or visit the south-west. We drove to the most south-westerly mainland point of the Australian Continent, being Cape Leeuwin (about 317 km from Perth). Not only can you admire the place where two oceans meet, the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean, you can also visit Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, which is mainland Australia`s tallest lighthouse.

Fun fact: ‘Leeuwin’ is Dutch for Lioness, which is the name of the first ship that sailed in the Cape Leeuwin area.

This is really pretty and sounds like an interesting place to visit.
