I flew back home from Baltimore International Airport (BWI). I stayed one night at a hotel near the airport, to catch my flight the next day.
I choose the SpringHill Suites BWI by Marriott and I’m glad I did. It was a great hotel. I thought the rooms were very spacious and clean. The suites offered a little seating area and a kitchenette! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was big enough and the sink was separately from the bathroom.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful. There’s a free shuttle from and to the airport for your convenience. It takes you about 10 minutes to/from the airport. There is also in room free wireless internet. And if you don’t have your computer with you, there is one in the hotel lobby! The breakfast was complimentary, I thought it was a good breakfast with bagels, cereals, yoghourt,… and even waffles! There is no restaurant, but you can order from several places close by (like pizza).
I’ve flown in and out of BWI a couple of times. But this was the first time I went with a non-American airline (British Airways). Boy, was I in for a surprise and not a good one! The part in the terminal were you leave from if you don’t fly an American airline is pathetic. It was Concourse E. There is one bar/restaurant, one small duty-free shop, and one magazine shop. That’s it!!! Because I came well in advance and thought I could eat something nice before boarding, this was a disappointment.
Which is a pity, because I remember from last time there were a lot more facilities in the other parts of the terminal. Guess I can’t complain, because I had a cheap plane ticket 🙂

I guess this trip is really over. I’ll just start counting down for another one 😉
