Travel Diary
Well, I thought it would have been warmer by now, we`re are on the same length as Florida… Time to relax and check out which shore excursions I want to do.
You can either book shore excursions online, before you leave or book them onboard. You can also decide not to buy an excursion from the cruise line and explore the islands you dock yourself or make arrangements in the port. If you`re with more persons, it`s a good way to just go ashore and ask around. See what the locals offer. I did it on my previous cruise when we were with a group of 6 persons. Do keep in mind, if you don`t go through the cruise line, remember to tell your local tour guide when the ship leaves, because the ship won`t wait for you!!! If you book an excursion through the cruise line, they are in direct contact with the ship.
This ship offers you a lot of entertainment. You can just take your Cruise Compass and see which activity is done at a certain place. You can follow dancing lessons, learn to fold napkins, join a trivia contest,…
Something you shouldn`t miss out on while aboard is the Royal Caribbean Ice Show. Yes, you`re on a cruise ship and yes, there is an ice skating rink aboard! Amazing, not? On the days at sea, the cruise ship offers you the opportunity to go to an ice show, for free! The only thing you have to do is, get a ticket for it. The Cruise Compass will inform you where you can get those or you can ask the Guest Relations Desk. Be early, because there will be lines for these tickets. If in the end you couldn`t get a hold of a ticket, you can still see someone at the Guest Relations Desk, they might be able to help you.
The show was called `Spirits of the Seasons` and the skaters brought a piece on every season. You`ll see winter clothes, but also beach wear… Enjoy!
Tomorrow is our first port of call: San Juan, Puerto Rico. See you there!
