Places to visit in Barcelona are La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and more architecture from Antoni Gaudi. But Barcelona has more: the Parc of Montjuïc with it’s Magical fountain, ’Las Ramblas’ …

• Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter) is the true heart of Barcelona. Here you find ‘Las Ramblas’. This famous street for pedestrians crosses the historical center from Plaza Catalunya to the sea, where you can find the monument of Christopher Columbus. It’s always busy with mime artists, musicians, flower stalls… Be aware of pick pocketing if it’s crowded!

TIP: In one of the side streets you can find Plaça del Rei, a beautiful square.

• Barri de la Ribera has a lot of museums, for instance: Museu Picasso. You can also find Parc de la Ciutadella in this district. This is a popular park with lots to see or to just sit and relax.

 

•  Eixample has probably the most famous historic building of Gaudi in its district, La Sagrada Familia. Antonio Gaudi devoted over 40 years of his life on this project.

• Park Güell is one of the cities treasures and Gaudi’s most colorful creation. I think it’s a must of places to visit in Barcelona.

Opening hours: Winter: 10 – 6 PM / Summer: 10 AM – 9 PM

• Parc of Montjuïc, one of my favorite places to visit in Barcelona. Because of the light and music show given at the Magic Fountain! It reminds me of the fountain show at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

If you take the night tour on Barcelona Bus Turistic (hop-on-hop-off bus), you not only get to see the illuminated architecture, but this route also stops at the Montjuïc’s Magic Fountain to experience the incredible music and light show. The ride takes approximately two and a half hours.
