When I got back from my trip to Austria, people kept asking me, so how was your trip? My answers: intense and surprising! “Intense” because of all the information from the workshops I tried to absorb and meeting up with fellow travel bloggers, which is always a boost. (You can read my recap on the conference here). “Surprising” because of how much I astonished myself with my enjoyment of the mountains.
I`m a beach girl at heart and when I`m asked to choose between beach and mountains, I`ll say beach. But after the trip I had in Austria, I`m going to have to think twice about that answer. Yes, the mountains in Austria won me over. It`s hard not to, when walking around in Innsbruck, mountain tops play peek-a-boo with you everywhere you go.
The first day I arrived in Innsbruck, I just wandered around with my camera and loved every encounter I had. Like the Hofgarten in Innsbruck…walking there felt like I`ve found a hidden treasure – When you have a closer look at this photo it reminds me of the water-lily pond by Claude Monet.
Or be in awe from the dazzling architecture in this city.
This city has a unique location at the river Inn.
As for the climate… It was extremely warm in Innsbruck at the beginning of my stay. These kids found some refreshment at a fountain.
And only a day later there was fresh snow fall on top of the mountains!
With everything you can find here, you can certainly say Innsbruck impressed me!
