If you could imagine a place that exudes tranquility, a place where you could relax and enjoy, where would you think of? I would probably think of a hidden beach (yes, I`m a beach lover) all to myself somewhere. But on my last trip to the Costa Brava, I found myself at the Celler de Martín Faixó, a winery tucked away in Cap de Creus.
It`s a beautiful historical building that`s completely renovated and owned by the family of Martín Faixó. The view you have here is amazing. You can see the families` vineyards spread out over the rolling hills and if you look closely you can see the sea on the horizon.
At our arrival, a nicely decorated table was awaiting us. The family produces its own wines and we were lucky enough to have been served a delicious lunch outside, sipping on a lovely glass of wine. The white wine was one of the best I`ve had!
Relaxing at this place was easily done, especially with an inviting hammock!
I would say this is the perfect hide-away if you want to spend some days relaxing. People just come here to enjoy, drinking a glass of wine, taking in the views and dream away…
TIP: The family also has rooms available, check out here. And the location is also perfect for a wedding or other celebration.
I was invited on this trip by Costa Brava Tourism and flights sponsored by Tourist office of Spain. However the opinions of this post are my own. And a special thanks to Nikon for letting me test the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VRII camera lens.
