Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive into the clouds? During my trip in Florida it sure felt like that on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. This bridge with a total length of 4,1 miles (6,6 kilometers), connects St Petersburg with Palmetto. The Travel Channel rated the Sunshine Skyway Bridge number 3 in its special on the “Top 10 Bridges” in the World. The bridge is considered the “flag bridge” of Florida.

I have driven over this bridge several times myself while visiting Florida and I have to agree that the angle going upward creates quite the sky bound illusion! However, traveling over this bridge on a very windy day make you feel like you are about to blow away!! 🙂
