“Bonjour” ~ “Comment allez-vous?” … I`m practicing my French, because I`m leaving on a trip to France. Poitou-Charentes to be precise! A region in the central western of France at the Bay of Biscay.
I already had a look at the itinerary, but more than a sneak peek I`m not sharing. You can follow my adventures online on Twitter – Just follow the hashtag #LaRochelle, Facebook or come back to my site and read all about it!
Marais Poitevin offers a natural environment unique in France. It has a maze of islets criss-crossed by picturesque canals now used for touristic row boating and nicknamed The Green Venice (la Venise Verte).
Last stop will be one of the jewels of the Atlantic Coast, Ile de Ré. Where we`ll be trying sandyacthing!
I have to say I haven`t been to this part of France yet and doing my research before leaving, got me intrigued by this coastal hide-away.
I`m especially looking forward to the tour by boat (a catamaran!) for sunset where we`ll have dinner aboard. I love being out on the sea and that for sunset must give some nice photo opportunities *already dreaming*.
